Rise of Corruption [v0.1.2] By Umarius

Umarius Games released a new game called Rise of Corruption and the version is 0.1.2. The game’s story is about The Dark Lord who has been defeated by the hero and his party. Unfortunately for them, it was discovered that the Dark Lord had hidden a portion of his power so that someone might find it, and use it to finish what he had started. You are a representative sent by the king to observe and aid the hero’s party in their quest to find this hidden power. However, you might have the chance to be something greater.

In Rise of Corruption, you are the villain and will have the chance to corrupt many characters, and eventually, the world. While there is combat, that is not the focus of the game. Instead, the focus is on slowly corrupting the characters and the world, and observing the changes that occur through each step until you have fully corrupted them.

Balancing:

• Increased player and Misaki physical damage scaling by 16%

Other:

• Rewrote Demon King to Demon Queen
• After capturing the orc fort, you are sent outside of the war room instead of in front of the castle

• Added Fast Travel around the castle once you capture the orc fort and speak to Bogthos.
• Added war room to get main quests, and certain side quests from characters.

• Added pacification events and quests to aforementioned village.

Quality of life/balancing:

• More paths and some existing paths widened in initial combat trials to allow for players to more easily avoid combat.
• Potion drop rate reduced
• Health of some enemies decreased
• Bogthos and Romanos now have dialogue in the early game hinting at side quests from Romanos.
• You can now heal by sitting in your throne after corrupting Misaki.

Fixes:

• Fixed bug that would not allow you to leave the castle after capturing the orc fort.
• Fixed the journal disappearing from your inventory after reading it
• Fixed characters being in the wrong positions in certain events/scenes
• Other minor fixes.

Developer Notes:

This is the first game I have publicly released, so any feedback will be welcome. If there are any bugs or issues with the game, report them, and I will have a new version released with what can be fixed, fixed. More content such as characters, locations, quests, and more will be added in future updates.

Some of the content in the Initial release such as maps, quests, balancing, and similar things are subject to change as I get more feedback, get better at making the game, and improve my writing.
