On Distant Shores [v0.14] By Professor Amethyst Games

Professor Amethyst Games released a new game called On Distant Shores and the version is 0.14. The game’s story is about Your family passing away in a horrible accident. Your entire world became a spiral of depression. Years of constant loneliness and guilt were all you knew. Now in your fifties, you find yourself at a crossroads. A chance at a new life lies tantalizingly before you. But as you crawl out of your personal hell, you find that something came with you. Something that wants you to stay trapped in the past. In spite of it all, new friends and new faces come into your life. Offering a chance for a brighter future. One filled with hope and even new love. Though you soon discover you must make a choice. A terrible choice you cannot comprehend. And your new friends will literally stop at nothing to help you make it.

I am the actual author of this game. Please be aware it is a slow burn. A visual novel first and a porn game second. You also don’t get penalized for choosing everyone as this is a harem game of sorts. I hope you enjoy playing as this has been a true labor of love. * This feature is in beta right now. I advise saving your game before making any changes. If you click on the red icon for the Character Information screen you will see a new option called “Relationships”. Click on it to see where everyone is at. You can click on any Love Interests relationship text (i.e. Friend, Lover, etc.) and it will cycle through the available options. Most will cycle between Friend and Lover, but some of them have more options. Two things to note. One, it does not become available until Day 22. It would break the game if you used it before then. Second, it has a number of sanity checks. If you try and change a relationship at a bad time during the game, it will stop you and give the reason why. I don’t recommend changing anything unless you specifically feel that it is hurting your enjoyment of the game, or a Love Interest isn’t what you wanted them to be (either through choices you made, or from previous bugs in the game).

Developer Notes:

** NOTE: In the next release (0.13) I will be adding a screen where you can view the current status of your relationship with any of the love interests. It will also allow you to change it. I am doing this for two reasons. One, to allow you to edit their statuses due to old bugs in previous versions of the game. And two, for you to verify that you are on the path you actually want to be on with a particular character.
