Demo Games released a new game called GIRLDIVERS and the version is EA 1.0.0. The game’s story is about Join the GIRLDIVERS, humanity’s last line of offense against an overwhelming alien menace. Command sexy girl soldiers in a rich campaign full of randomly generated challenges, unforgiving enemies, sci-fi gadgets, and heavy firepower. Engaging in lewd punishments and rewards along the way.​

Balancing

  • Buffed Sub: Missive damage (32~41 -> 34~42)
  • Buffed Pressure Sensitive Liberty Bombs damage (150->160)
  • Buffed Victoria Gun Run gadget damage per impact (40->50)
  • Buffed Victoria Bombing Run gadget damage per bomb (100->120)
  • Buffed B.O.O.B damage (48~57 -> 50~60)
  • Buffed Hot Shot Rocket damage (300->400)
  • Reduced self-damage taken from Hot Shot R3ocket (21->20)
  • Reduced self-damage taken from mines (15%->12%)
  • Grenades now explode faster (1s->0.7s)
  • Buffed Nature’s Breastplate armor (800->1000)

Changes

  • Adjusted ‘time to beat’ on final mission, beating the level before the timer goes orange means you’re within 15 seconds of my personal record (3:30).
  • Made so you can use escape to exit the ‘thanks for playing’ screen.
  • Big changes to how character assets (in-game sprite frames & outfit frames) are loaded to reduce loading time & memory use.
  • Recolored the ‘retreat’ button in the escape menu so it’s easier to avoid accidentally clicking it.
  • Moved Hologirl & her dialogue window on the shop so the stats window obscures less.
  • Updated the design of the settings screen.
  • Updated all control displays to pull from the rebind system.
  • Fixed the close button being off-center in Miss Victoria’s screen.
  • As requested, the game cursor is now confined to the game window.
  • Reduced scroll sensitivity on all scrollbars for a nicer experience.
  • Updated French & Russian translations thanks to community submissions on Discord.

Fixes

  • Fixed dialogue window in the shop scaling incorrectly on different resolutions.
  • Fixed version text blending into the background.
  • Fixed planets displaying difficulty stars weird if you went above difficulty 7.

Fun Fact

  • Originally the game was going to use steam launch options to put the player into keyboard or controller mode. But I decided it was a nicer experience to add it as an in-game menu. But you can still force the game to launch into either keyboard or gamepad mode using the following command line parameters (launch options):
  • -control_keyboard
  • -control_gamepad
