Translator Notes:

Once more, a translation using MTL as a crutch due to me not being able to read Japanese. This time using the latest Sugoi (4.0) model as a basis, which immensely reduces the amount of corrections that are ultimately necessary. Nevertheless, pronouns are still a mess, onomatopoeia-heavy lines need to be manually interpreted, and many times the expressions used are feeling way too alien. So in the end, it is still up to humans to clean up that filthy mess.

The Tools used were Translator++, Notepad++, Sugoi, DeepL, and various dictionaries. Also Photoshop.

As always, some expressions and meanings will get lost in translation, but I’m fairly confident that I’m doing a pretty good job here, considering that I pretty much got a grasp on this series and many simple Japanese expressions by now.

Anyway, every single line of dialogue has been read, re-read, then re-re-read and (if necessary, which going by my standards is pretty much every single line) corrected in order to achieve at least the following goals:

  1. Have the story make sense
  2. Correct machine translation (MTL) mistakes and prevent ‘MTL-poetry’
  3. Have the sentences stay within the message box bounds
  4. Allow menu navigation by translating the GUI
  5. Keep names, character behavior and other terms consistent throughout the series
  6. Stick as close as reasonably possible to the script’s intended expressions
  7. Provide a smooth reading experience that is practically indistinguishable from a translation by someone who actually knows how to read Japanese
