The Apprentice’s Test [v1.5] By Palaverous
Palaverous Games released a new game called The Apprentice’s Test and the version is 1.5. The game’s story is about You are Felix Einhart, magi-in-training of the 7th ring of the Northern Sub-Tower of the Magna Academy of Magic. Renowned prodigy. Star pupil. Cocky moron. Having nearly completed one’s studies, each magician trainee is required to present the evaluation committee with some form of original research such as a thesis, an invention, or displaying an ability to perform advanced form of magical feats. In short, you are required to prove you are capable adult magi. As the grudgingly-recognized top student of the Sub-Tower, there were a wealth of specializations you could have focused on to build your presentation. But a passing grade was simply not enough, you just had to try and find something extraordinary to work on. For once, it was not – exclusively – your ego prompting you to show off; you were after the perks granted to particularly outstanding graduates, chief among them the privilege of choosing one’s own assignments. For that, you would need something out of the norm… You began to procure bibliography on advanced magical arts, most deemed not safe for uninitiated students to peruse. Sure, it was against the rules, but if you could prove you could master it, it would be all the more impressive. One night, as you hung around your guardian’s quarters, you noticed an extremely old and important-looking book on her desk, the kind she is often asked to handle and transport. Using a small trick of your own invention, you made a quick copy of the book and set about studying it on your free time. It took four months just to learn how to read the damn thing, but you finally cracked its code and the reward was more than worth it. It was an old grimoire detailing the usage of time manipulation spells, one of if not the rarest and most complex schools of magic. This was it.

Developer Notes:
After more than three years in development, far more than I ever intended, I have the pleasure (and relief) to finally present you with the final version of The Aprentice’s Test, an adult text parser adventure. The Apprentice’s Test follows Felix Einhart, an accomplished though cocky student at the Magna Academy of Magic, close to the eve of his final examination. Due to circumstances for which he is altogether at fault, he must now scramble to put together a complex summoning spell at the last minute lest he fail his test, though the haste would not stop him from prodding his nose into the business of his peers. Unlike previous titles, this is not a direct sequel to any of my previous games and no prior experience is required. By and large the content can be qualified as fairly “vanilla” sort of erotica, although I’d rather not go into the specifics for fear of spoilers. The intro will quickly introduce the main cast and is recommended for your first playthrough, but can be skipped if so desired. There are eight or so possible endings (depending on how you count variants) with various branching points. Finally, typing ‘help’ will explain some special commands that may be used in the game. In the coming weeks, I will be posting some more information regarding my upcoming project, which will hopefully come up much, MUCH quicker than this one. Until then.
